Treatment Is For Life – Leaflet

8 May, 2017

Pernicious Anaemia Society

A new leaflet relating to the Treatment of Pernicious Anaemia is now available in the Library section of the website.
It has been written for members to address two problems that we are dealing with on a daily basis.
Firstly, it addresses the dangerous and all too common problem of patients having their injections stopped following an assessment of their B12 status by their doctor.
Secondly, it addresses another dangerous problem, small dose oral tablets being prescribed rather than injections to treat the patient’s Pernicious Anaemia.
We cannot guarantee that showing physicians this new leaflet – Treatment is for Life -will get the patient’s injections reinstated straight away but we hope it will.
