News Update

Our first meeting went really well and was welcomed with enthusiasm by all who attended. The message back from all was that they were looking forward to the next one. I would like to thank Martyn on behalf of all of the group for opening and speaking at our first meeting. It was massively supportive of him and we were all very appreciative that he came. Thank you.

Our next two meetings are:
Saturday 26th September and Saturday 24th October.

Can I reiterate that the monthly meetings are open to all members who live in the East Midlands or the surrounding counties of Leicestershire. I had enquiries from Northamptonshire and Derbyshire from people who unfortunately couldn’t make the first meeting. All are welcome and although we had a great attendance, some we welcome all to establish a strong support base.
All were pleased to meet others with the same condition, for most it was the first time they had talked to anyone with the same illness and found it really supportive. “We are not alone” as our saying goes and all found support in the fact that we had all encountered the same problems with a lengthy time before being diagnosed and treated.

Again thank you for your support. Although in its infancy this support group is going to establish itself and there already six monthly meetings organised. Whether on or a hundred attend there will be a place here for understanding, awareness and support.

Hello, I have just joined but am still seeking diagnosis. I am based in Northants, close to Market Harborough. Where does the Leicester support group meet?
