Senior Research Fellow, School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Science, University of Brighton
Dr Anna Guildford is a Tissue Engineer and Biomaterial Scientist at the University of Brighton. Her work is based on increasing our scientific knowledge of B12 and understanding the personalised nature of the varied and wide ranging symptoms associated with its deficiency. Longer term her aim is to develop a degradable implant to deliver a constant and optimal dose of B12 mimicking the dietary intake of non-sufferers. Her current work is focused on the development of models of the disease using cells from the stomach lining and inflammatory and nerve systems to identify the optimal dosage and optimal type of B12 for each cells individual purpose.
