Pernicious Anaemia Research

Chairman’s Recent Blog

2 Jun, 2016

Thank you to all of you who responded so positively to the recent request by Martyn Hooper, the current Chairman of the Society for members who manage perfectly well on three monthly injections.

Some of the responses have worried us however as several people mention that their injections of B12 have been stopped because their serum B12 is now ‘normal’ or ‘high’.
We want to make it clear that, following a diagnosis of Pernicious Anaemia your injections are FOR LIFE and must never be stopped, regardless of what blood levels you have.
If your doctor stops your injections telephone the office so that we can become involved.
