Oh dear. Making things even harder for us.

Do you think the spray would be an alternative? :

http://www.readisorb.com/readisorb_methyl_b12_spray.html

These are the ingredients:

    Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin)
Stevia - A natural sweetener with an insignificant effect on blood glucose levels.
    Purified Water
Lecithin - The liposomes in ReadiSorb MethylB-12 Spray are derived from lecithin. The lecithin is derived from oil, not protein, extracted from soy.
Glycerin - Glycerin is used as a sweetener and preservative. It supports the stability of the liposomes and allows for the extended shelf life. Glycerin is a normal product of fat metabolism and is readily converted to glucose for metabolism.
    Natural Cherry Flavor
Citric Acid - Citric acid is used as a flavoring and preservative.
Potassium Sorbate - A natural material used as a preservative to prevent yeast and mold growth. It is a form of sorbic acid, a naturally occurring fatty acid which is easily metabolized in the body. Potassium sorbate is used to preserve wine, baked goods and cheese.
Directions for use: Shake, spray under tongue or on inside of cheek. Hold for 20 seconds and swallow. There are approximately 90 sprays per bottle.

My Mum uses Methyl B12 as well and has had an amazing reponse to the 5000mcg Jarrow mix. I was in desperate need - so ordered another brand
... But I could have easily had my entire order 'lost' at customs ... I use the cheapest shipping which is Postal - but has no refund policy.

Moral of the story is always keep up to date with your own country's import laws ... and any changes..

I ordered Source Naturals. I hope they are as good.

Hi All,

Just wanted to clarify the Prohibition on Xylitol is NOTHING NEW & has in fact been in place for many years (as verified by TGA).

I wasn't in fact aware of the Xylitol in Jarrow's B12 being a problem until I read your post. I have been importing for my own & another 3 family members personal use for several years & almost 100% of the parcels have been examined & passed as OK by Customs/Quarantine.

However I sought clarification from TGA & the correct thing LEGALLY is to apply for Approval via SAS & an Import Permit each time before you actually place an order.

I have written about the correct procedure, links & details of asdvice received from ringing TGA.

Note too it is NOT banned you just need approval & permit. It costs nothing in money terms but certainly costs time & effort. You also need a Doc willing to sign the SAS Approval every 12 months.
